On September 3, 2021, it was announced that the Manitoba government is recognizing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as a day of observance to encourage reflection and meaningful discussions about the impacts of residential schools.
As you may be aware, the Manitoba public service will observe the federal statutory holiday and close non-essential government services and offices for the day. Public schools will be closed and no classes will be held on that day.
Late last week all licensed early learning and child care (ELCC) facilities were notified to also close on September 30, 2021 in observance of this important day.
Discovery Children’s Centre will be closed on Thursday, September 30, 2021.
