Social and Emotional Development Through Play

I saw you outside today, walking with your friends towards the mini house. You and your friends played a role playing game. You pretended to be the server and your friends were your customers. I was so happy to see you working and playing with others.   You displayed affection through your imaginative play. This is good practice for developing social skills.

Your social and emotional development has grown since you first came to the Centre. Unlike before, you are now comfortable in communicating and cooperating during play experiences. You show your commitment and confidence whenever you perform a certain task. And most of all you display happiness with almost everything you do.

To further enhance your social skills we will provide more opportunities for role playing, helping and taking turns with friends.
